The look for autumn/winter is more polished than summer’s fresh looks. Skin is flawless and make-up is perfectly applied. Eyes can be colourful, dramatic, smokey or metallic. Lips are making a statement with red being this season’s favourite shade.

Glamorous Lips
Nothing says glamorous in your make-up more than a fabulous lipstick. Red is this season’s favourite shade, but if you’re not a red fan, you can achieve the same effect by wearing a colour that looks amazing against your colouring and lights up your face. Go for slightly deeper shades or apply lip pencil first to get more intense colour.

Which colours should you invest in this season?

LIGHT – Bonbon, Spiced Peach
DEEP – Ruby, Sheer Fiesta
WARM – Tomato, Coral
COOL – Fuchsia, Bonbon
CLEAR – Warm Pink, Coral
SOFT – Nutmeg, Dusty Rose

Always keep lips in good condition and prime with a lip base before applying colour

Colourful Eyes
Don’t be shy with your eyeshadows this season, it’s all about getting good colour on your lids and applying it well.

Here are our top shades for each colouring this season:

LIGHT – Peach, Fawn, Steel, Pearl
DEEP – Gold Whisper, Mocha, Purple, Smoke
WARM – Melon, Cocoa, Khaki, Golden Honey
COOL – Opal, Smoke, Midnight, Eau de Nil
CLEAR – Apricot, Cocoa, Peppermint, Pistachio
SOFT – Champagne, Fawn, Heather, Dusk

If you’re not confident with colour or feel it’s a ‘young’ look for you, you can give the same impression by carefully layering the current colours in your palette. Start by using a highlighter shade all over the lid, then an eye-pencil followed by an accent colour and finally a blending shade. Use an eye-make up brush to blend the colours together for a polished look.

Enjoy your new make-up looks this autumn!
